StarBullet Studio, in collaboration with GameChanger Studio as publisher, has officially released a demo of The Spirit Weaver. The demo is now available on Steam.

In The Spirit Weaver, players take on the role of Alora, a Tarot reader summoned to the Spirit Realm to stop a mysterious threat known as The Entropy. However, the story goes beyond a simple quest to save the spirit world. Alora must also confront lingering guilt from her childhood, creating a narrative that blends supernatural adventure with personal reflection.

One of the game’s distinctive features is its Tarot reading mechanic. How the player interprets the card will influence how the story unfolds, ultimately shaping the fate of the Spirit Realm and its characters. With this feature, players are encouraged to understand the emotions and perspectives of the spirits they encounter.

Here are the game features listed on their Steam page:

  • A Bittersweet Story: Immerse yourself in a narrative about people coping with loss, love, and grief, split into characters with different ideals and personalities.
  • Guide with Tarot: As a Fortune Teller, perform Tarot readings to provide guidance and restore power to the spirits of the realm.
  • Empathetic Gameplay: The key to success is understanding the characters and their feelings to find the best solutions to their problems.
  • Your Readings Shape the Ending: Your Tarot readings determine the end of your story.
  • A Beautiful Fantasy World: Explore a fantasy setting filled with arcane and mystical elements, progressing through the four planes of the Spirit Realm.

The Spirit Weaver originated as a university group assignment of eight Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) students. Later, those students founded StarBullet Studio, with the assignment evolving into a full-fledged game. The game is currently in development, and the exact release date has not been announced yet.
