Indie game developer Mankibo and publisher Akupara Games have announced the release date for Montabi, their upcoming creature-collector roguelike deckbuilder. The game will be available on Steam on 6 August 2026 for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.com. Outside PC, the game will also be available on Xbox consoles.

The announcement was made during the Southeast Asian Games Showcase, and the developer also released a new special-release-date trailer. Alongside the release date announcement, Mankibo also confirmed that Montabi will participate in Steam Next Fest this June with a new demo update available during the event.

Montabi is a creature-collector roguelike deckbuilder that challenges players to tame monsters, build powerful decks, and save the city from evil. In the game, the players will assemble a team of Montabi and engage in turn-based battles on a 3×3 grid system. Every Montabi can evolve, unlock new skills, and form synergies that shape the outcome of each battle.

The game was first announced in 2025. Its initial demo launched in June 2025, followed by a major update in November of the same year. In March, the developer also launched a time-limited open beta for the game, allowing players to try the upcoming title ahead of its full release.
