After ceasing its broadcast on RCTI earlier in 2026, the long-running anime series Doraemon has officially returned via the streaming platform Vidio as of Sunday, 15 February 2026. New episodes will be updated weekly every Sunday with Indonesian and Japanese dub options.

Previously, Doraemon was broadcast on Indonesian television broadcaster RCTI. However, the series no longer appears in the station’s programming lineup since 29 December 2025. For many years, the series had been closely associated with RCTI’s Sunday morning broadcasts and was one of the station’s flagship series.

Adapted from the manga series by Fujiko F. FujioDoraemon tells the story of a robotic cat from the future who helps a trouble-prone boy named Nobita using a variety of futuristic gadgets. The anime is produced by Shin-Ei Animation Co., Ltd., with distribution in Japan handled by Toho Co., Ltd.

In Indonesia, Doraemon anime is licensed by ADK Indonesia (formerly PT Perdana IMMG Indonesia) and Animation International Indonesia. The manga has been published in Indonesia by Elex Media Komputindo since the early 1990s, coinciding with the wider introduction of Japanese manga to the Indonesian market. The anime series began airing in Indonesia around the same period on RCTI, with broadcast rights at the time held by PT Hikmad & Chusen.
