Indonesian developer Wisageni Studio has released a new trailer and playable demo for K-pop Idol Stories: Road to Debut on 4 February 2026. The game is set to be released in 2026 on PC and various consoles, while the demo is now available on PC via Steam.
Previously known as KISS: K-pop Idol StorieS – Road to Debut, the game is a narrative simulation game described by its developer as a “love letter to the thrilling world of K-pop.” In this game, the players will take on the role of a K-pop idol manager tasked with finding talent, managing talent activities, managing finances, social media, clothing, and music for talents. Players are challenged to transform their talents into the latest K-pop star.
Published by PQube, the project was first announced in 2021 under the title KISS: K-Pop Idol Stories, with an initial release window planned for 2022. However, the launch was later delayed as the team continued refining the game. Over the past few years, Wisageni has showcased the title at major events, including Gamescom 2023 in Cologne, Steam’s Storyteller Festival 2024, and Devs of Color Expo 2024. The game was also featured in the PQube Asia Showcase 2024.
Founded in January 2015, Wisageni Studio is a game studio based in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Previously, the studio has developed various games for PC and Android, including Living in 2020, Nonstop Show/Ngamen Nonstop, Ultimate Tower, and Conjurer. Last September, Wisageni Studio was also listed as one of the game companies that represent Indonesia in the Tokyo Games Show 2021.
