On Thursday (21/5), Coffee Talk Tokyo has officially launched worldwide on 21 May 2026. Developed by Toge Productions and Chorus Worldwide Games, the game is available for PC via Steam, alongside PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Coffee Talk Tokyo is the new entry in the Coffee Talk series. This new instalment invites players to run a cosy cafe nestled in the bustling heart of Tokyo, a city where humans and yokai coexist. The players will brew coffee, listen to their customers’ stories, and explore the quiet, introspective side of urban life in Japan’s capital.
This new game introduces a fresh cast of characters, including Kenji, a retired kappa searching for meaning after his career; Vin, a barista’s assistant with a troubled past; and Ayame, a celebrity who recently passed away and now seeks to understand life beyond death. Their stories unfold against the atmospheric backdrop of Tokyo, blending elements of tradition and modernity.
Originally revealed during the Nintendo Direct broadcast on 27 August 2024, Coffee Talk Tokyo was initially planned for launch on 5 March 2026. However, the launch was later delayed in January 2026, pushing the release to 21 May 2026.
