One of Indonesia’s VTuber agencies, Re:Memories, attended Comic Frontier (Comifuro) 22 on 16 to 17 May 2026, at ICE BSD, Tangerang, by opening a booth following their absence in the Comifuro 21 event. Located at booth AD-25/26, their presence was eagerly anticipated by VTuber fans, especially as two of its VTubers, alongside agency staff, were present to personally welcome visitors.

The two VTubers attending the booth were Elaine Celestia on the first day and Pinku Rimu on the second day. The KAORI team had the opportunity to interview Elaine Celestia shortly after she had finished her cheki session with fans. Despite the effort she had already put into the event that day, she remained enthusiastic and looked forward to the interview.

Curious about the interview? Here’s a summary of our interview with KAORI and Elaine Celestia of Re:Memories!

First, can you introduce yourself?

Okay, my name is Elaine Celestia, but you can also call me Echi. I am a VTuber from Re:Memories’ third generation alongside Cecilia Lieberia. I debuted as a Virtual YouTuber on 14 May 2022.

What do you think makes you unique in the VTuber industry today?

I think my way of communicating, along with my casual and youthful personality, is what sets me apart in the VTuber industry today.

Additionally, my approach to entertainment through cooking streams is unique. Creating cooking content as a VTuber comes with its own challenges, from setting up the camera and preparing ingredients to cooking while simultaneously entertaining viewers.

By providing a relaxed yet engaging atmosphere in every stream, I aim to create a unique and memorable experience for viewers.

What do you think is the biggest challenge to surviving in the current VTuber industry and how do you face it?

One of the biggest challenges I faced was during my debut. The excitement and anticipation of becoming a new VTuber turned out to be much more difficult than I had expected.

Another challenge comes during offline events. There were times when I felt anxious, especially when meeting viewers in person. Likewise, some viewers can also feel nervous when meeting the VTubers they usually only watch through livestreams.

As time went on, I began to enjoy my work as a VTuber more and more, especially when creating livestream content. I always try to have fun with whatever content I make. By appreciating what I create and enjoying the process, I believe I was able to overcome many of the challenges I faced.

What are your hopes for the future of the VTuber industry in Indonesia?

I sincerely hope that Indonesian VTubers become more widely recognised, especially because our skills and passion are just as impressive as those of VTubers from overseas.

Furthermore, I hope the Indonesian VTuber community remains healthy and supportive, which is especially important given the increasingly unpredictable situations that the industry sometimes faces.

Do you have any tips for VTuber fans?

First and foremost, simply enjoy the content created by VTubers. Creating content requires a great deal of time and effort, so it is important to appreciate the hard work behind it.

Another important tip is to maintain a positive attitude by following community rules and spreading positive energy. This is particularly important given the challenges that the industry and community occasionally face.

These are simple principles that every VTuber fan can follow, and they are especially valuable for those who are new to the VTuber world.

Thank you for the interview, Echi. We wish you and Re:Memories further success and growth in the future!
