The Comic Frontier (Comifuro) 22 event on 16 to 17 May 2026, at ICE BSD, Tangerang, presented a variety of new surprises from the pop culture scene. One of the surprises is the appearance of Pandavva, a new VTuber agency from Indonesia, that opened a booth at AA-09/10.
Pandavvva is a VTuber agency from Indonesia that was established in early 2026, they are consisted of five VTubers, with their names representing the characters of Pandawa. The talents are: Arjuna Arkana (the group leader), Bima Bayusena, Yudistira Yogendra, Nakula Nalendra, and Sadewa Sagara. This VTuber agency is actively creating various new content, from cover songs, live streams, to creating an original story series titled “Opera PANDAVVA”. Their fanbase for this agency is often called “Pandavvarna”.
The KAORI team had the opportunity to interview with Cella, the business manager of the agency. When we visited, the booth was constantly busy with enthusiastic fans. In fact, we had to wait until the second day of Comifuro 22 to get a chance to have a conversation with the person handling the booth.
Curious about the interview? Here’s a summary of our conversation with Cella from Pandavva.
First, can you introduce yourself?
Okay, my name is Cella. I am one of the staff members and the Business Manager of PANDAVVA.
What factors led to the creation of Pandavva?
PANDAVVA was created from the idea that VTubers can be viewed as a modern interpretation of traditional wayang performances. Some of our talents, such as Arjuna Arkana, draw inspiration from characters in the Mahabharata. Additionally, PANDAVVA aims to utilise the VTuber medium to introduce Indonesian culture to the broader pop culture scene, creating a distinctive experience that helps establish our identity within the VTuber community.
Pandavva has a unique appeal that is so popular among VTuber fans. What is Pandavva’s distinctive feature?
Particularly within Indonesia’s rapidly growing VTuber market, PANDAVVA’s uniqueness lies in its business planning, which is supported by thorough and in-depth market research. Furthermore, my background as a marketing strategist allows us to utilise market data to achieve long-term goals. This approach has resulted in a variety of products and content that have resonated strongly with VTuber fans.
What do you think is the biggest challenge to surviving in the current VTuber industry, and how do you tackle it?
In my opinion, our biggest challenge comes from within the organisation itself. Despite having a large fanbase, we currently have only five VTubers and twelve staff members. As a result, we must maximise our limited resources while continuing to operate efficiently and effectively.
What is your solution to this biggest challenge?
Through our passion, skills, and the support of our fans, we believe we can overcome any challenge or limitation. Our motto is “We can do this because we’re insane.” haha.
Also, in such a rapidly evolving industry, it is essential to remain flexible, adaptable, and innovative.
On the second day of Comifuro 22, Pandavva performed through a Virtual Live Performance. How was the preparation for that performance?
In terms of preparation for their performances on the second day of Comifuro 22, we prayed a lot, especially for the audience. Given the level of enthusiasm shown by our fans, the performance felt like an important milestone for us. Above all, we hoped the Virtual Live Performance would run smoothly from beginning to end.
What are your hopes for the future of the VTuber industry in Indonesia?
In terms of our aspirations for the future, we hope that the industry will continue to grow, given that the VTuber industry in Indonesia is expanding annually in terms of the number of participants, new fans, ever-growing quality, and innovations.
Second, because Indonesia’s VTuber market is still relatively niche, it offers the VTuber community and industry a great chance to try new things and develop new ideas without pressure from a wider audience, all the while building a significant and worthwhile foundation for the future.
Third, and perhaps most importantly, we also hope that everyone can cooperate, as this not only improves and deepens relationships with one another but also gives the Indonesian VTuber community and industry more chances to develop together and simultaneously break the mainstream barrier.
Thank you for the interview, Cella. We wish PANDAVVA for further success and growth in the future!
